Austrian death metal / grindcore band, formed in Klagenfurt (Austria), 1987. They were signed to Nuclear Blast following a gig in germany with fellow Austrians Pungent Stench. After releasing two full-length albums with Nuclear Blast they signed a new deal and released their third album on Steamhammer ("Pleasuredome") which saw stylistic shifts begin to appear as the band moved away from extreme metal. Disharmonic Orchestra went on hiatus until 2002, when they released a new album ("Ahead").
As of 2008, a new album is reportedly forthcoming.
