Dolphin is of the most outstanding artists of the Russian scene. It's really hard to describe his style in a few words. But first of all his poetical talent is worth mentioning. The lyrics of his songs are all excellent masterpieces of poetry. In my opinion he is the future of Russian literature. His lyrics can be compared with the pieces of the world-wide known Russian poets such as Mayakovsij, Pasternak and others. The power of verbal images, philosophy and passion is highly concentrated in his art. The music is something outstanding too. It's a mixture of guitar lines, synch melodies and generated drums. For example, his last release 'Zvezda' contains tracks made with 808-state drums and mostly acoustic guitars above. He also tried involving some controlled melodic radio-noises in the sound ('Tkani' CD) which made his sound specific and forms the experimental conception.
The only problem is that you can feel the power of his talent only if you understand Russian to notice his love to our beautiful language and his poetical skills.
