The Domestic Front, conceived in Japan around 2000 c.e., is the 'micro bionic' audio project of sound artist Thomas Transparent, known for his focus on making strange, elemental hybrids of the natural and synthetic, in varying degrees of seductive quality and violent intensity. Neither a mere 'noise project' nor an academically-inclined 'computer musician', T.D.F. provide 'functional' electronic music intended to re-integrate listeners with experiences and ideas outside of the human social sphere.
