The DJ Domino Vernall effect….. originally from Worcester in the U.K., the young Domino Vernall was brought up in Goa, the spiritual birthplace of psy trance music. People from all over the world travel to Goa seeking creativity and freedom as a way of finding their inner-selves or simply to dance to trance music in the tropical beauty of the area.... naturally Domino was influenced at a very young age by this hedonistic, yet spiritual atmosphere and the futuristic electronic music which was played at the all-night parties that occurred regularly at each full-moon. Acts as diverse as Front 242, Yello, The The, Kraftwerk, Nitzer Ebb and many others, encouraged her to explore the frontiers of this new electronic style, and she soon discovered a dynamic DJ style, filled with beautiful melodies, which took her and the dancefloor to a trance state while playing the latest tunes from her dats. Then, between 1992 and 1998 she perfected her DJ skills and became a global wanderer, playing psy trance at parties in Austria, Brazil, Canada, Denmark, Germany, Holland (Amsterdam), India (Bombay, Bangalore), Israel, Japan, Portugal, Spain (Ibiza), the U.K. and the United States (New York and Los Angeles), as well as at open-air festivals, such as Antaris (Germany), Boom Festival (Portugal) and Equinox (Japan). In 1997, Domino's first DJ mix cd was released by Equinox in Japan to great critical acclaim, after her stunning japanese debut at an Equinox party in Yokohama the previous year. She subsequently decided to move to the land of the rising sun and has been based there ever since. Domino's second mixed cd on Equinox followed soon after with her last cd mix, “Moon” released in May 2003 by Universal Records, Japan. It received great reviews, selling over 9,000 copies in Japan alone! "Stardrops Over The Ocean" is her fourth release, and her first solo album. She gave birth to a boy named Marley. They are currently living back in the United Kingdom.
