Born in Liverpool, England on March 17 1945.
In 1966 he tours Italy with his rock band Motowns and decides to stay. He marries Italian dancer Rita in 1967.
Between the 70s and the 80s He was one of the most active session vocalist in the country, working both in studio and on stage with Primitives, The (2), Claudio Simonetti, Paul Micioni, Renato Zero, Raffaella Carrà, Riccardo Cocciante, Lucio Dalla and many others.
Douglas was lead vocalist (although uncredited most of the time) some of in Italy's disco projects like Easy Going, Crazy Gang and Traks. He also collaborated with funk producers Mario & Giosy Capuano and wrote songs for Ryan Paris, Amii Stewart and Mike Francis.
He has also written and performed film soundtracks with brothers Guido And Maurizio De Angelis, Ennio Morricone as well as on his own.
Douglas is very well known in Italy for his television themes (mostly for Japanese cartoons) written and performed with his bands Rocking Horse (2) and monikers Superobots.
In 2008 he wrote and recorded Disco For The Devil for Venetian disco producer William Bottin.
