Real Name:Jürgen Mutschall & Dominik De Leon
Profile:With the success of their debut single "Tomorrow," Germany's Dumonde joined Europe's late '90s mounting mass embrace of trance culture. Created by Jürgen Mutschall (Chaos Records handler and better known as DJ Jam X) and Dominik De Leon (aka De Leon), 1999's "Tomorrow" hit Germany's Top Ten and a staggering amount of major label trance compilations throughout the world. Dumonde's animated synths and wantonly exalted sense of drama continued in remixes for Alice Deejay, Push, and Barthezz and their rising DJ popularity, matched by follow-up singles like "See the Light" and "Never Look Back," made them reasonably important figures in the landscape of mainstream German trance. - Dean Carlson / All Music Guide

Except for a brief period in the early 1990s, the majority of my fascination with electronica centered around house, mainly the NY progressive, hard sound. I never thought I would get back into trance. Then, I heard Dumondes productions and remixes in the late 90s. What else is there to say about this German Trance Duo, other than, divine. My misconception of trance was that is was cheesy, fluffy, quasi-pop music with cheesy vocals. Dumonde showed me the epic side of progressive and hard side of trance; strong buildups, stabbing leads, godly melodies and epic pads. I was in awe, some of the first songs I heard from them that capitivated me was their remix of Sash!s Adelante, their own production of See the Light, Steve Morleys Reincarnations, and of course, one of my all-time favs, their remix of Insiders Boots on the run. IMO, this track defined NYC clubbing in the late 1990s and I am sure it was a hit globally.

From these productions and remixes, I fell in love with their productions and remixes thereafter.
