Reviews & Discussion

Review by Apr 11, 2001 (edited over 11 years ago)
Ed Rush & The Optical are one the best dj's in the scene. They create great breaks en even greater (dark) basses. Typical are their breaks with a little offbeat start. The sound really flows and man, it's a world. Just listen and enjoy.

i'm a rather "root hardcore" d'n'b fan.I think that these guys are responsible for all that what had happened to this music after 1997-1998, which made it so devilish rhytmical and technical, so deep, dark and futuristicly inhumanate. Well it's already 2003 and I know so many ppl complaining
d'n'b is aeating its own dark tail but I'm like hippie now- they will always love their led zeppelin-I will always love dark, deep, drum'n'bass stuff which let me believe in that again after LTJ "left-hand track..." ed rush & optical are definetely amongst the best ones !!

Ed rush and optical, from the creation of virus recordings, made consistently unique tracks. Together they have the ability to make a track dark in a way that other producers aim for but rarely achieve.

Everytime I hear an Ed Rush and Optical track I get goosebumps and the little hairs on my neck stand on end. Every one of their tracks released since 98 has been amazing and I don't think anyone who has a clue about drum n bass would argue. Always pushing the limits and taking every party to an unimaginable level, these guys have achieved the impossible.
