Dada Munchamonkey or Edward Joseph Ruscha V, son of well-known (and equally as strange) LA-based artist Edward Ruscha (Edward Joseph Ruscha IV) produces some of the most leftfield experimental music of recent years. Tending not to go for computer sequenced programming Ruscha uses stacks of analogue equipment and performs productions through almost live experimentation. He released numerous cassettes throughout the nineties, some of which fell into Tom Chasteen's hands who then released the first official self-titled Dada Munchamonkey LP through his own label, Exist Dance.
Starting writing music in the mid 80s as a founding member of 90s noiseniks Medicine and Maids of Gravity, Ruscha was then responsible for forming the amazing Future Pigeon who have in recent years grown from a two-piece outfit into a collective comprising of nine musicians renowned for doing awesome live shows around the West Coast and beyond.
Next he began work on a long awaited project with Rub n' Tug's DJ Thomas called The Laughing Light Of Plenty, meanwhile also working under the alias: The Secret Circuit, creating experimental cosmic music.
