Emperor were just teenagers when they were burning down churches with the rest of the original and famous Norwegian Black Metal scene in the early 90s, but beyond the infamy of being one of the original bands they also managed to make some great music, and their use of keyboards in particular made them one of the most influential (and most-copied) to all the black metal bands that followed.
