Empress (6)

Empress is from Leeds in northern England. On the self-titled album, Empress was Nicola, Stewart and Matty. On the ep, Empress was Nicola, Stewart and Chris. Nicola, Stewart and Matty were Boyracer, and Nicola and Stewart have both spent time in Hood. Chris is also Halkyn. After some shows with The Pastels, Empress signed to Stephen Pastel's Geographic label, via Domino Recording Company Ltd.. Then they came back to us in 2003. Stewart is no longer in Empress. Empress is now just Nicola and Chris. Chris lives in Wales, and they composed The Sounds They Made by taking the train back and forth. Since this album, Nicola moved to Australia.
