New Age / Gothic Rock project from France, headed by Eric Levi. Era's music mixes Classical, Opera, and Gregorian chants with other contemporary styles. Lyrics are often chants in an imaginary language reminiscent of Latin. The music could be described as New Age and may be considered similar to artists such as Enigma and Deep Forest. Their music was used in the soundtrack for the film "Les Visiteurs" and in Sylvester Stallone's "Driven".
Their first three albums, "ERA", "ERA 2" and "The Mass" have sold over 18 million copies worldwide, with over 3 million in France alone and gold and platinum albums in at least 18 countries.
