Profile:Jazz bassist. Born on May 29, 1923 in Chicago, Illinois. He led his own group, The Dukes of Swing, in the mid to late 40s. Eugene Wright is best known, however, as a member of The Dave Brubeck Quartet, which he joined in 1958. Wright would later play in The Monty Alexander Trio.
