Reviews & Discussion

First of all: Sorry for my bad english. Second of all: Extrawelt is the best electronic music I ever listened to. All tracks of extrawelt are worth a try. Every track is a little piece of art. Will remain for future. I'm desperately waiting for a album of Extrawelt. The sound is extraordinary. "Minilogue" from "The Leopard Remixes" for instance brings together deepness of sound with the lightness of some tones. The music of Extrawelt beams you up into a realm, where you want to stay... (sounds a little bit emphatic, but check out Extrawelt and get your own expirience of this fantastic sound)...

This duo really has a good reputation in the techno and minimal scene. Their work is very original in my opinion and they made in 2 years time a lot of development. Starting with a instant progressive minimal tune named 'Soopertrack' wich has been played by James Holden for some time, to their newer releases like Schmedding or Crsh. You really can hear the difference between the releases what makes it interesting to follow them.
I went to a gig from Heiko Laux in 2006 and Extrawelt was in the lineup before Laux. I was not familiar with Extrawelt and never heard of them before, but what I have heard that night was truly one of the most pounding, minimal and electro based sets I had ever heard. They drop down basslines and percussion with such tension combined with emotional synthpatterns, really good stuff. I am looking forward to hear more music in the future from Arne and Wayan!
