Philipp M. Straub
Philipp M. Straub’s first contact with the "Electronic Dance Music Scene" happened in 1992, when he visited different techno- and houseclubbings. From that time on he used his job as travel-agent to become one of the first Austrian pre-sales agents for events like "Mayday", "Loveparade", "ID & T",... and he started to arrange flights for international deejay's coming to Austria.
In Novamber 1992 he met Oliver Riepl with whom he supported their project „The Space Navigator“. The following two years "The Space Navigator" released tracks on vinyl and CD on labels like Logic Records, Frankfurt Beat, Kosmo Records, BMG, Sony and Polygram and they visited many events in Austria, Germany, Switzerland, Netherlands, Spain, Greece, Italy and Malta.
During this time Philipp quit his job at the travel agency and he started to run his own DJ booking agency "Vienna Sound Pool" by using the contacts he made to DJ's and promoters during the time in the travel business.
In 1995 Philipp and Oliver started to do "The Partysan" - Austria's first and only techno and house guide for more than two years. By this time his than named agency "Partysan Booking" was exclusively representing artists from all over Europe in Austria, such as Westbam, Marusha, Hardsequencer,.. His first Austrian deejay set happened at the famous "Infantil" at Vienna's most wanted After-Hour club "Chattanooga" and soon this place became his homebase. With his international experience he came in a educated position as DJ. Also with his special techno and groove sets he designed his very own place in the scene.
By the End of 1998 and after some changing partnerships (“4 Elements” with Chris Eichenauer in 1998) "Titan Production" became Philipp's new Agency name. Up to now and after a successful company-fusion with Matthias Klingler, who has the biggest influences on many parts of Austrians scene, Titan Production is Austria's Nr. 1 DJ-Agency.
In 2001 Felipe decided to concentrate again more on his dj career and worked on many ideas such as creating a residency with Vienna’s Top Club Flex where he is hosting the eventseries “Essence” which had such big guest like Sven Väth, Richie Hawtin, Luke Slater, Chris Liebing, Marco Carola, Dave Angel, Adam Beyer and more. Another idea was to build up a international technolabel which can completes his infrastructure.
