Flo Kaufmann

Swiss sound engineer & performer born in 1973. Did his first dubplate in 1993 using an homemade cutting lathe into x-ray films, then built up his production unit and went into professional disk mastering after purchasing a Neumann lathe in 1995.
Founding member of Vinylium GmbH in 1997: both a pressing plant and a museum and also one of the last company operating in the field of dubplate and vinyl mastering in Europe. His Kingston dubplate cutter, a portable and affordable dubplate cutter was handcrafted in 2000 and still sold through his company.
