Flying Saucer Attack operate out of Bristol or the periphery of it I think. You hear a real "far away" sort of vibe in their music, which is essentially Post-Rock, all droning guitars and muffled found sounds, but sometimes more experimental and electronic.

There is a load of stuff I could recommend, but as it hasn't been added yet, I won't. Anyway, they're pretty good.
