As a radio broadcaster for over 25 years who specializes in electronic music, I find Free System Projekt's music beautiful and highly creative. They perfectly capture this genre's "Mid Era" style (mid 1970s-80s Tangerine Dream which is post experimental/pre new age).
Allow me to also correct the callous comments by DaveinDetroit, which indicate to me he knows little about this type of music and probably doesn't like it, either. A further disqualification of his review is that FSP isn't remotely "new age" any more than they're copying early 1970s Klaus Schulze, which, like much electronic music at the time, was boring experimentalism. Schulze's brilliant "Timewind" and "Phaedra" by Tangerine Dream launched the Mid Era. FSP continues that style as so many other musicians have, by building on it with their own creativity.
FSP's trademark is deep space ambience that forms into fast sequencer rhythms with lush melodies. They're a must for real synth music fans, who will be pleased with any of their CDs.

Free System Projekt creates 1970s styled New Age Music ala Klaus Schulze. I've listened to just about every one of their albums (cds) and they all sound like something I've heard before. When I listen to music and it comes across as an aural rerun then I don't get too excited about it.
Call it New Age or "Berlin School" (New Age Progressive Spacemusic) but it doesn't change the fact that FSP may be trying too hard to sound like something or someone else. It's 2006 and it amazes me how some artists still lack the creativity to strive for a more modern sound. If they would actually tried to try something new then the music would be more interesting than it is.
