Froyd

Real Name:
Andreas Stollenz
Profile:
Andreas Stollenz is into music since the 70ies. With friends he created a kind of experimental jazzrock where he played piano, keyboards, tape recordings and tape loops. The most famous group he founded with is Bollerman with an unique style of pop, rock and "Neue Deutsche Welle" sounds.
He also did some electronic solo recordings under the name of The Nesthaken, which changed later into Froyd. Autopilot is another side project he does. The music is very electro-stylish. Since The Nesthaken project he always uses strange samples of erotic recordings mixed into his tracks.

I first heard Froyd on a compilation CD, "Afterhours Global Underground". It sounds like some excellent Euro/club Trance. Dark, flowing, mysterious. It doesn't pound you real bad like some hard house does but it definitely has some power to it. I'll keep searching for this artist's material and will grab it when I see it.
