Fun Factory

New Fun Factory, The

Real Name:
Toni Cottura, Rodney Hardison, Stephan Browarezyk, Balja, Marie-Anett Mey, Alfonso Walser, Tiger One, Anett Möller.
Profile:
German based Eurodance act produced by Team 33. Active from 1992 to 2003. Re-Activated in 2008 (see below).
The first lineup (1992-1997) consisted of: Toni Cottura (Smooth T), Rodney Hardison (Rod D.), Stephan Browarezyk (Steve), Balja (Vocalist) and Marie-Anett Mey.
The relaunch lineup (1997-2003) consisted of: Alfonso "Al" Walser, Tiger One and Anett Möller.
Fun Factory first consisted of Marie-Anett Mey, a model - most probably lipsyncing vocals performed by Balja (Fun Factory's first vocalist, who left for unknown reasons but was constantly credited on all Fun Factory releases up to 1997), Rod D. for the rapping, while Smooth T and Steve did the dancing for the videos and live performances.
Their success really began with the track "Close To You" in 1994. The following singles "Take Your Chance", "Pain", "I Wanna B With U", and "Celebration" proved to be big club hits as well.
In 1997, Toni Cottura left the act soon followed by Rod D, Marie-Anett and Steve. Three new members replaced them: Alfonso Walser (Al) and Tiger One (T-Roc) for the rapping and Anett Möller as the new female vocalist.
After a few minor hits, mostly concentrated in Europe and Asia, the group ceased to exist in 2003.

In 2008 the current owner of the trademark and producer Rekardo Heilig decided to re-animate the project with all new faces and new tracks.
First single release is "Be Good to Me" featuring the new female vocalist Jasmine, singer DGS, rapper Douglas and performer Jenna. First appearance on German TV was on 2008-08-17 (ZDF). Currently a video clip is being produced and album "Storm in my Brain" is planned to be released in December 2008.
