G. Pal

Real Name:
Γεώργιος Παλλικάρης (George Pallikaris)
Profile:
One of the most well-known Greek DJs around the world, George Pallikaris became rather famous throughtout his well-respected production work - including the early releases at Low Pressings and Plastic City, and the club-minded tribal, techy and proggy releases of his own label Swift Records.
George originally hails from Thessaloniki, the largest city of northern Greece. He was first introduced to music at the very young age of 4, when he was already training to play the piano! After developing his skills composing and producing his own tracks, George moved to New York City to pursue a degree in music technology. While attending courses to obtain the NYU's degree, he concluded his first commercial record release on UK's Low Pressings around the beginning of 1999. Very soon, he joined the UCMG New York artist roster, decision that allowed him to release various singles for Plastic City - including his critically acclaimed debut album "Life".
Meanwhile, George had to return to Greece to do his military service for the Greek army! It was however this obligation that gave him the opportunity to found Swift Records in 2001. Since then, things got in a row for G.Pal who still manages to compile various tasks at the same time, including:
The quality production material for Swift Records, distributed inside Greece by Klik Records and outside Greece by Intergroove UK.
The weekly radio show "Best DJ Zone" at Best 92.6 every Friday night from 00:00 to 02:00 AM (GMT+2).
The bi-weekly radio show "Swift Sessions" every first and third Tuesday of the month from 20:00 to 21:00 PM (GMT+2) on Greece’s internet radio station Danceradio.
The monthly residency at LUV club in Athens, alongside his wife Anna Maria X and the rest of Swift Recs' friends - Christian Cambas, Stel, John Dalagelis and many others.
And last, but not least...the family. Especially, his daughter Maria Eleni (Marily), whom he keeps calling the "meaning of my life"!

Few artists can come through time and time again with music that is creative, innovative, experimental, yet always hit the mark. G-Pal has a style that is constantly moving in all directions, however staying true to his deep and soulful sound. House artists around the world keep an ear tuned to his mixes and an eye out for his latest tracks. G-Pal is infinitely talented in producing tracks that continue to take your breath away even after you've worn out two copies of them already. If it says G. Pallikaris on the label, it's sure to be a "must-have."
