Gastek

Gastek is the result of two dj, two producers, two musicians, well, just two friends.

Roberto Formisano and Francesco Cuomo, join in 2002 and started the Gastek Project just using a drum machine and two turntables.

A mix of two different music backgrounds, Roberto is a groove player, starts in ’90 with percussions and beat making for Hip Hop and R&B productions, he is a versatile percussionist, proficient in most forms of music. Francesco began his passion for club music at the end of ’80, he started DJ'ing back in the early ’90, his musical interests evolved from techno to house music, with a short period of hard house and progressive music.

All projects from gastek until 2008 are mixed from Luca de Gregorio at noonstudios.com, the place where the In minimal record label release all tracks, and mastered by the best engineers from Alchemy Soho, The Exchange and Absolute Mastering

Their first ep was released on 12” vinyl in february 2007 with the collaboration of Martin Dawson aka King Roc and It’s a great techno hit played also by Sven Vath and Anja Schneider. This release was also included in DJ MAG covermount Cd (March 2007 issue).

With great collaborations in their productions from abroad ( Martin Dawson aka King Roc, Hector Couto, Moodymanc, Demetrio Giannice, Jeff Samuel, Theodor Zox ) they have released tracks played by top dj’s in the world scene like 16 Bit Lolitas, Milton Jackson, Silicone Soul, Solomun, Alex Santos, Laurent Garnier ,Tom Novy, Sasha and much more.

After a little break they back with productions in 2010.
