Augusto Balassi aka Genius 8 is a young argentinian artist who produce techno-house music with influences on funk, jazz and dub.
Since he was a kid he was always related with music thanx to his father who was a dj,who introduce him sounds like Pink Floyd, Kraftwerk, Depeche Mode, etc.
Being a music-fan teenager and a huge collector of records he felt some strong atraction about detroit, chicago and berlin sounds introduced by his friend Andrés Zacco. Influenced by Andrés Zacco, Franco Cinelli, Lucas Mari, Jorge Savoretti & Ricardo Villalobos he started djing, and now production.Actually his live & dj-set contain energic sounds of dub techno-house with some strong influence on minimal, jazz, funk & IDM.
