Ghost (real name Simon Williamson) is a well known figure in the UK Hip Hop scene. Starting life in Glasgow, moving onto Norwich, Derby, Manchester then London, Ghost has seen a lot of life from a lot of different places which has influenced his sound as it is today.

Producing from an early age but unable to fund buying the equipment needed to make music, Ghost spent years learning his trade before releasing any product. From 2000 onwards Ghost spent his time learning mixing techniques and learning the skills needed to be able to release music, he would spend time handing out remix CD's at jams across London, and working on his radio show the "Midweek Session" on London only station dedicated to Hip Hop Itch fm.

Ghost has released a number of singles, a DJ mix tape and 2 LP’s in the last 5 years; each of them has garnered critical acclaim as well as strong sales. So strong in fact that Ghost is now regarded as one of the UK's premier up and coming producers.

A Hip-Hop influenced producer and DJ with over ten years experience Ghost has put in his hard work, Ghost's first EP, 'Ghost Stories', was released in 2003 and introduced Ghost's deeply musical approach. He developed his blueprint of good music with a nod to the past and an eye firmly on the future. A number of his productions for various artists have been released on other respected labels across the world including Fabric, Timmion, Breakin Bread, Rockwell Media Japan, and CCR Japan.

It's difficult to fully describe his style because Ghost's production refuses to be categorised. It's deep and layered, it's brought a new edge to the Hip Hop scene and is something seldom seen in music these days. Along the way Ghost has picked up a strong following of fans in many different countries all over the world, Ghost has gained DJ support from the likes of Giles Peterson, Mr Scruff, Zane Lowe, Steve Lamacq, Semtex, and a host of international DJ's. Ghost's growth as a producer has made people realise he's an incredible talent, this has seen his music step out of a solely Hip Hop following and reach a whole new audience, think Ninja Tune, DJ Shadow, DJ Yoda, Planet Mu and the like.

Behind the scenes Ghost recorded, mixed, produced and arranged both of his LP’s and has been helping other artists mixing there own projects. Attention to detail and the need to make all products reach a high standard drive his mixing with a strong understanding of how the music should sound. Ghost has been regularly performing live with various artists and DJ'ing all over the UK and Europe over the last couple of years taking in clubs and festivals such as Glastonbury, The Big Chill, Bestival and Hip Hop Kemp. He also ran a regular radio show on London's Itch fm for over 4 years before time commitments saw him pushing the music and live shows.
