Gæoudjiparl

Real Name:
Kristian Vester
Profile:
Kristian Vester is Goodiepal. His music is very personal and, as with almost all good things: difficult to categorize. He is very prolific in electronica circuits, but since he prefers 7" vinyl and split releases his records are very hard to obtain. Vester was born and raised in a small town in the north of Denmark. The European rave explosion had a significant impact on Goodiepal, and he started making electronic music. He has also worked as a sound designer and programmer for firms like Nokia and Lego, but those days ar over. He says he has moved to Faroe Islands, where he works as a nurse in an old people's home, while continuing to tour actively. “A genuine eccentric” are the words most often heard describing his live appearances, where he plays vinyl records and Faroe folk instruments and puts on display various small, inexplicable objects built by himself, such as mechanical birds and miniature models of planets.

Reviews & Discussion

Review by nihil-distortion Jun 02, 2006 (edited over 3 years ago)
Almost every appearence by this Faroish/ Danish enigma is part mad inventor's show-and-tell and part medieval magic show. At the Berlin M12 studio, Goodiepal/ Gaeoudjiparl whistled his mechanical birds to life, then transformed himself into a wolf and ran away.
