Reviews & Discussion

Review by pafufta816 Aug 16, 2010
i became a fan of hakan in the last year or so (2009-2010). his work reminds me a bit of josh wink, functional house/techno with either elegant developments or booty-shaking relentlessness. the track that stood out to me the most, 2009's "dyssomniac", whose melody is layered detroitish synths building into a mystical and ethereal space. i highly recommend hakan to any fans of wink, steve bug, adam x. though he doesn't delve too far into the "dark" territories of techno, the sparse way that he builds ambient backgrounds are a perfect companion to follow traversable wormhole, or peter van hoesen in a techno mix.

i would love to get into the last decade of his catalogue, as i've only come across his recent digital releases.
