Pedro Peñas y Robles was born in Spain in 1968 but it was in France where he began his path in dark & E.B.M. sound.
In winter 1988/89 he was resident DJ in underground clubs in Southern France and consolidated his career at Trolleybus (Marseille) in 1993 with the fetish-industrial Armageddon festivals.
Early 2000, he began to submit his demos to different labels. The first record label interested in his rhythmic noise works was
Divine Comedy Records (France). He then produced his first trilogy
Hypnoise Movement,
Abstract & Harsh Ironworks (with remixes by
Mlada Fronta,
Sulphuric Saliva and
A Challenge Of Honour) and
Censored Frequencies / Other Mystic Territories (vs.
Wired Brain, with remixes by
Sonar and
Mimetic).
In 2004 he finished his first ever North American toru ("Industrial Virus Tour" in USA, Mexico and Canada) and remixed
Hocico,
Sonar,
Empusae,
Deus Ex Machina,
Glis or
Alien Produkt from 2004 to 2006.
At the end of the contract with
Divine Comedy Records, he signed in 2004 on the Polish label [Invalid Label] who released his fifth album
Rotten Beat Manifesto after having played in different festivals (l'Usine/Switzerland, Infest/UK, Nocturna/Spain...) and many countries (Europa, Mexico, USA & Canada).
In 2005 he signed on the Spanish label
Caustic Records (
Overdose Kill Me) and works with
Hacker, The on "novo disko", an old-style EBM track (on
Electronic Manifesto).
In 2008 HIV+ produce its last album "we are all haunted houses" (Caustic/DC rec) and he make a cover version of The Normal's classic "warm leatherette" on the vynil picture disc (OPN records). Since 2007 HIV+ co produce compilations with some classic new wave's covers (Electronic Manifesto III French Tribute To Mute Records).
At the end of 2008 HIV+ played two live gigs in Santiago de Chile & Valparaiso (CHILE/SOUTH AMERICA).
in 2010 Pedro/HIV+ published Electronic Manifesto IV -epitaph : the end chapter - on the french label M-TRONIC.
