Hugh Jones (born in London, England) is an English record producer and sound engineer.
Jones started his career as an apprentice engineer at the IBC Studios in the early 1970's. His first work was Chick Corea's "Light as a Feather" in 1972. In 1978 he moved to Rockfield Studios in Monmouthshire, Wales. In 1985 he moved to Los Angeles, but returned soon to Rockfield Studios.
Jones has worked with Echo & The Bunnymen, Modern English, Del Amitri and Bauhaus among others.
