This band is probably the most unknown australian band in Europa, such a pity. Even so, their first 3 LPs were pure wonders, this guys have created their own sound, a mix between Killing Joke, Can and Captain Beefheart. They played a powerfull australian rock with very specific atmospheres, kinds of movies tracks : the music often rise on hypnotic rythms and a tortured soul come, invocated by the great shaman Mark Seymour.

Much more than Midnight Oil, they do incarnate a root vision of Australia, full of sand, dust, trucks, "tremors" or "razorbacks" and natives spirit ; if Birthday Party could be the dark side of the city, Hunters & Collectors are the dark side of the outback. AC/DC is often called kangaroo rock, there, this is about ornithorynchus rock.
