Idyl

Formed in the summer of 2000, after experimenting for a while with darker, distorted sounds, this project became an outlet for these creations. With Idyl, the idea is to create a unique combination of rhythmic noise and atmospheres. Contrasting elements such as harsh machinery and tranquil backgrounds, Idyl works to create a unique mixture of unlikely harmonies and sound textures. Consequently, the music of Idyl tends to vary from heavy, harsh pounding rhythms, to dark ambient backgrounds, and everywhere in between.
