Idyl

Real Name:Scott Anderson
Profile:Idyl was formed in the summer of 2000 by Scott Anderson, who, along with John Binder, also records as Conversion Factor. After experimenting for a while with darker, distorted sounds, this project was formed as an outlet for these creations. With Idyl, the idea is to create a unique combination of rhythmic NOISE and atmospheres. Contrasting many different elements, such as sounds of harsh machinery and calm background pads, Idyl tries to form a new style of music, not to be confined to one genre. Consequently, the music of Idyl tends to vary from harsh pounding rhythms, to dark ambient backgrounds, and a mixture in between.
