Immanuel Kant

German philosopher, born 22 April, 1724, died 12 February, 1804, Königsberg, Kingdom of Prussia. Kant is regarded as the single most influential thinker of modern Europe and Enlightenment and marked with his critic turn (which he himself described as a Copernican turn) a revolution in philosophical methodology and focus. As of today his influence on political theory, the natural sciences, ethics, aesthetics and particularly philosophy proves highly significant.
