| Profile: | Begin at the Academy Of Music, located in Odessa, Ukraine where Irena studied music proformance for 3 years which took typical students 4 years. Graduated in 2001, Irena was “awared” for the distinction and was ‘forgiven’ for her rebel manors during her time at the academy.
Before signing with Fiberline Audio, she sang with, and managed a jazz band that had a residence in a nightclub in Odessa, and went on tour around Ukraine, Russia, Moldavia, Crimeam and loads of other fun places.
Moved to London a year after graduation from the Academy of Music and armed with a 5 track CD recorded back in the Ukraine, she made demos that caught the ear of John Altman.
Irena’s music has been compared to the likes of Bjork, Massive Attack, and Potishead.
