Jacek Sienkiewicz

Real Name:
Jacek Sienkiewicz
Profile:
Jacek Sienkiewicz was born in Warsaw in 1976. After developing a taste for early hip hop music in his early teens, attending first warehouse acid parties and moving towards underground electronic beats was a natural development.
Jacek started playing as a DJ in 1995, but soon realised that full artistic expression is possible only through creation. From his first 303 to today's fully digital setup, Jacek gained both gear and experiences. After two years of experimenting, Recognition Recordings came to life. Working on his own, without engaging too much in rave community, Jacek slowly made a name for himself both domestically and worldwide. Soon more records started to surface on prominent German labels (see discography), and second album "Techne" was released as first artist album on Sven Vath’s Cocoon imprint.

Stands 200cm (6'7") tall.

Reviews & Discussion

Review by dano. Apr 24, 2007 (edited over 5 years ago)
Quality sounds and very well crafted techno is what Poland's big man has been showing the world for the last couple of years.

His work on record label Trapez and the alliance with Sven Vath & Cocoon Recordings put him on a list of very promising producers, and his music has not dissapointed at all. Pretty much everything he's released since the album Displaced (highlight of his career in my opinon) has been solid, well structured and elegant, also with great positive feedback from techno's big names.

To sum it up, an underrated guy making very very good music. Keep an eye on him.
