Jacques Hustin

Profile:
Jacques Hustin was born in Liège, Belgium on March 15, 1940.

He debuted as singer at the age of 15. In 1965 he won the first prize at the Festival de la Chanson in Spa. A first album followed and he went to Paris. In the period 1966-1968 he sang mostly in cabarets.
In 1974 he participated for Belgium at the Eurovision Song Contest in Brighton with the song 'Fleur De Liberté'. He ended up at the ninth position. The next year he got an own television show 'La Guimbarde' at the RTBF.

During the 80's he was president of 'l’Union Professionnelle des Artistes du Spectacle', an artists union.
In 1988 he stopped his career as singer and started painting.

He died on April 6, 2009 exactly 35 years after his participation at the Eurovision Song Contest.
