Jade began studying music at the age of thirteen. Since that time he has developed a comprehensive, well-grounded background in music theory and has continually applied these studies to both piano and violin. While continuing his classical training Jade developed a passing interest in electronic forms of music. Upon graduating from high school, Jade used his graduation money to turn this passive interest into an active one and bought his first pair of turntables. This movement into the realm of progressive dj’ing was catalyzed when Jade heard the exceptional Sasha "Xpander" cd.

Over the next three months Jade applied his dedication and determination perfected in classical studies to developing his skills as a DJ. Within a short time Jade found himself playing the local club scene. While playing out at clubs was enjoyable, Jade felt drawn to turning his innate musical abilities toward original productions. This led to the completion of his first track, "The Safar". After a year of continuing to expand his musical horizons in the form of original productions, Jade met Jimmy Van M and John Digweed at a local show. Jimmy gave Jade some critical feedback on his productions and advised him to send a demo to Baroque Records. This advice was well heeded and Jade is now producing for Baroque & Method exclusivly. Currently Jade continues to attend college as well as actively DJ’ing and producing music in his home studio. He then plans to attend Berklee School of Music in Boston, to study studio technology, classical composition, and film scoring.

He cites Sasha and John Digweed as his primary influences within the realm of the DJ. And draws considerable inspiration from producers such as Breeder, Slacker and Sasha. Along with this intense interest in the progressive scene, he harbors an interest in film score composition, citing a number of classical and contemporary film composers as a direct influence on his own productions.

Jade believes that his classical background in music theory and passion for music will allow him to create consistent, forward-thinking compositions that will help expand the boundaries of progressive dance music as we know it today.
