Jan Bark (Härnösand, Sweden, 19 April 1934) is a Swedish composer studied music at the Borgarskolan and at the Musikhögskolan in Stockholm. For 15 years he played jazz trombone, and during the 1960s he was a music teacher and for nine years an instructor of film editors and cameramen for Swedish broadcasting.
In 1963 he co-founded Kulturkvartetten, a group of four trombonists who perform their own theatrical compositions. From the 1960s he has been largely active in collaborative events; a later interest was in films and videotapes attempting to register cultural undercurrents in social change.
