Jehst... Well gotta be one of my favorite emcee's of all time. I just think that lyrically, this guy is on a higher level than most rhyme sayer's. The beats on all records are exactly to my taste. Being dirty, simple, phat and containing a rawness that reminds me of early Wu-tang beats. So if you're looking for super clean mainstream gangtsa, Jehst ain't for you. Check him out anyway and you might be lucky enough to glimpse lyrical mastery and learn it also resides outside the U.S.

Jehst is undoubtedly one of the best rappers in Britain, and therefore also the world. Conscious, hard-hitting, and able to spit off multi's like saliva, lyically his style takes much from his interest in Shakespeare. I think all my trans-Atlantic brothers need to hear of this man...I literally cannot overstate his ability. My only (minor) reservation is his flow, which although ususally amazing, can be slightly hindered over some (although very few) beats. I actually rate him as the 5th best rapper ever behind Rakim, Big Daddy Kane, Kool G Rap and Eminem (pre-Dre). No lie.
