Jim Ingram

Jim Ingram

Profile:
Jim Ingram produced various soul and spoken word LPs during the 1960s and 1970s. His most famous is the 1974 LP, Drum Beat, which feature the self-titled track "Drumbeat" as the opener. This track, although not a huge success at the time, would later be sampled by Norman Cook in the Urban All Stars' track It Began In Africa. The sample would then later reappear in the Chemical Brothers, The classic It Began In Afrika.
