One of the undiscovered gems of the early 90's, Jiri was making techno as if it was a style of music that had been around for decades, which was amazing in a scene that was so young at that time.

His finest moment for me was multiplex, the antithesis of an anthem, the tune burbles along with deep acid rumbles and a wonderfully crafted beat. Excellent atmospheric aural brain candy.

It's so sad that noone has managed to climb to jiri.ceiver's level within techno yet. All right, some of his work is kind of extreme and some of it just doesn't work out at all.
But at his best - he's a genius. Ambient or experimental doesn't describe his music well enough - "abstract" is far better.
Twist everything you think music is, upside down and inside out - and you have jiri.ceiver's music. Weird thing is, it's still music and can work pretty amazingly.

I don't think many people know his real name, but I know he has done some music for theater plays and art exhibitions after his Harthouse period.
"head.phon" is my favorite, together with "loom 1". "jig, amble & lisp" has it's good sides but some of it is slightly commercial, and some even more abstract/noisy.
I wish he'd consider making this crazy innovative techno music again!
