Spanish techno DJ Joel Pons has been one of the pioneers of the techno sound in Spain and one of its first international figures. For instance, he was the first Spanish DJ to play at Tresor Berlin. He has also recorded a track for Tresor Records. He has been resident DJ in many important clubs, such as Caldera & La Sala del Cel (in Gerona). He is also head of the techno division of the label Blanco y Negro.
