John Karagiannis

John Karagiannis was born in Thessaloniki, Greece. Today he resides in Berlin, Germany where he moved in order to follow his love for music as his single occupation. Back in Greece, he produced several dance music radio shows for a number of radio stations and also established one of the biggest techno labels in Greece, Techhead recordings, a company that managed to control several obelisks around and below it, such as special vinyl series (TechHead Redmixes) and sub-labels (TechHead Digitized, TechHead Toolbox). Since today he has done several A&R for numerous other labels such as Amaze Me records, Harmonic Distortion, Eighty Eight Recordings. Since 2005 he started releasing his own productions on plastic with his debut release on Kazoo Records followed a bit after by a release in his own label. Along with his close friend and studio partner PayLipService they took numerous projects and continue to do so, for many labels such as Soul Access, Relatives, Techment, Audionautica, Kazoo, TCP along with the Techhead releases on the main label and sub-labels. His releases as an artist and label owner have been supported by big names such as Carl Cox, Axel Karakasis, Pedro Delgardo, Wehbba, DJ Preach, Marco Lenzi and more. He has been a vinyl DJ since 1998 and has played in numerous countries (Greece, Bulgaria, Ukraine, Slovenia, FYROM, Germany etc) across the globe. His style today is a mix and match between techno and deep techno to a more tech house and minimal approach to suit the dance floor.
