Often known affectionately as "The Shark", Johnny "D" is a Producer, DJ, but most notably Senior Director A&R for Atlantic Records. He is responsible for some of the biggest dance hits ever, pairing Todd Terry with Everything But The Girl, kicking off a seminal partnership. He was also the one who picked the phone to ask an underground House Producer called Armand Van Helden if he could do something "different" with a new Tori Amos track. An oft told story is Johnny D and Kenny Dope being in a cab and hating all the dance music they heard on the radio. The result being that the two immediately retreated to Dungeon Studios in Brooklyn and came up with "The Bomb!".

One of the most respected A&R's in the business, with a list of hit records to rival many of his peers. Currently still co-ordinating Remixes for Atlantic Records.
