Jonathan Kane

Jonathan Kane has bravely gone where no drummer has gone before. With La Monte Young's Forever Bad Blues Band he plays fiercely in a 3 hour non-stop tour de force, with Rhys Chatham's 100 electric guitar orchestra he is the only drummer and featured soloist. Hailed as "Virtuosic" (N.Y. Times), "Tireless drumming phenomenon" (Village Voice), "Magnificent, Mighty" (N.Y. Daily News), "Volcanic" (Rolling Stone), Kane, who has had the pleasure of playing with Gary Lucas since Nov. 92, was also a founding member of Swans, and has toured and recorded with Elliott Sharp, Tony Hymas (Jeff Beck, Jack Bruce), Dave Soldier, Jean Francois Pauvros, John King and many others, as well as composing for dance, theater, television and solo and ensemble performance.
