C.J. Smith

(b.1948) England, Chris Judge Smith dropped Chris from his name and joined Van Der Graaf Generator. He played the drums until Guy Evans joined the band after which he provided backing vocals and "played" assorted gadgets including a typewriter. He left the band in 1968 and since then has worked on his solo career including writing songs for his own album, musicals, opera's, directing a short film and working on the music for the TV show Not The Nine O'clock News.
