Reviews & Discussion

Review by Alastis Apr 06, 2006 (edited over 6 years ago)
Although her name isn't anywhere near VH1 and MTV or any major newspapers, Juliana Hatfield is one hell of a singer/songwriter. She could probably kick asses of many of her male brehtren out there due to her skills. Granted, some of her songs are cute, but they're not syrupy and she didn't go the way of Liz Phair and turn herself into Britney Spears impostor. She also frequently name-check many of people that she like (Nirvana, Violent Femmes etc.), which is quite amusing. She's definitely one of those girls that never recieved enough credit for her work, but she's still writing and doing her thing honestly, unlike many of her more famous peers in riot grrl department like Courtney Love.
