Julie Higgins

Real Name:
Julie Anne Higgins
Profile:
Originating from Birmingham UK, like those before her, Julie Higgins (also known as 'Mi Julee', 'Julianna', 'Princess Julianna' and from recently 'P J Higgins') moved to London at the tender age of nineteen in pursuit of fame and fortune. The following years were spent singing and masquerading in the music halls of the East End. One day whilst supporting Asian Dub Foundation, she was plucked from relative obscurity by Phil and Grant (aka 'Temple Of Sound') and after that she became their long time collaborator. 'P J' also performed with legendary names such as, JJ Burnel (Stranglers), Mykaell S. Riley (Steel Pulse), and Natacha Atlas. It was in 2003 whilst sailing the Swedish shores, that Julie met the 'genius' who was later to become her future collaborator, Johan Englund. Together with El Greco she is also behind "The Black Stripe" name.
