At the age of 12, Brucie Quantize received a package from an old Uncle working in a lab in New Jersey. It contained only a manual explaining the control panels of a broken Odyssey synthesizer. Today Mr. Quantize continues to be fascinated by the sound of machines - compelled to take them into clubs; wiring into sound systems the hub-cap-spinning power of their machine-driven full-frequency future funk.
KCP continue to show zero interest in decks and the idea of playing records in clubs, preferring to only play live, and the Brixton based electro outfit is often seen in clubs and events all around the UK and Europe.
There is no connection between the New Jersey Uncle, and the bunch of preachers who came out of Kansas in the seventies, who in later years would be referred to by some, as the "Kansas City Prophets”.
