Lars Vegas is one of the founders of the Groove Attack record shop in Cologne. From the mid '90s on HipHop went a bit out of their focus and other forms of the Breakbeat spectrum got more attention = Drum'n Bass, Trip Hop, Big Beat, Downbeat etc.
With the upcoming of local breakbeat artists there was a lack of labels and distribution for their using their contacts to veteran HipHop artist, they created the 'Groove Attack' label and distribution.
Lars Vegas being a Drum 'n Bass/Downbeat DeeJay tried his hands on Production and teamed up with former House DeeJay Mojo Tom to form the producer and DeeJay Duo 'Karma'. The Spectrum Works label was made up for their output and the first Groove Attack sub-label.
