From dark techno to eerie electro, Kid Dub's productions can get any dance floor going. A producer and DJ who's been playing worldwide since 2001, Kid Dub's sets are intense electro-techno hybrids, covering everything from dark minimal to epic techno, to deeper, euphoric and melodic sounds.
His 2008 track Tetris was no.5 on Beatport's electro-house charts, and stayed in the top 10 for two months. Since 2007, this along with several releases in the top 10s, 20s and 40s download charts of Beatport and Juno have also gained him support from John Digweed, Dubfire, Tocadisco, John Acquaviva, Rene Armesz, Carl Cox, Nick Warren, Hernan Cattaneo, Anthony Pappa, Dave Seaman, Rui De Silva, Laurent Garnier, Steve Lawler, Stephan Bodzin, Andy Cato, Oxia, Mark Knight, Martijn Ten Velden, and close friend Olivier Giacomotto.
With plenty of interest from the likes of John Acquaviva , 2008 saw EPs from Kid Dub on Definitive Recordingss, early in the year releasing Anti-Pop EP & ‘Penthouse Bitch’ releases along with its music video. On returning from his Australian Tour over the summer Kid Dub released The Jungle EP supported massively by the likes of John Acquaviva, Olivier Giacomotto, Miles Dyson, Noir, Dada Life, Style of Eye, Riva Starr, Lou Lou Players, Aston Shuffle & Will Bailey.
In early 2009 Kid Dub's collaboration with Dextress ‘Perverted Ways’, a dark and twisted techno track inspired by fetish interests, featured remixes from Miles Dyson, Style of Eye & David Ekenback. It went top 20 in the Beatport electro house charts and top 40 in the Tech House charts.
A highly technical DJ who has spent six years scratching, juggling and cutting up records, Kid Dub is as much fun to watch as to listen to, and he's headlined some of the world's biggest clubs, including Razzmatazz, SeOne, and Ministry of Sound.
Even Rock star Games of GTA fame recently featured Kid Dub’s ‘Future Shock’ release in their latest game – Midnight Club Los Angeles.
Other projects
As well as engineering other DJs and producers Kid Dub has two other tech-house projects - D DUB with Cozzy D and a new guise as Voltaeric - already landing on compilations for Little Mountain Records and Natura Sonoris. A new synth pop project under the name of Nuvo Rich sees Kid Dub writing new wave French house tracks. And when not creating for the dancefloor, he also writes cinematic, ambient glitch music as Cuebit.
Kid Dub also recently founded ‘Word & Rhythm Magazine’, an online publication written by producers and DJs from around the world and the world’s first online magazine written solely by producers and DJs who are actively touring and releasing music.
