Reviews & Discussion

Review by thomasbiele Jun 03, 2008
"KTP´s" 1983 "Naked" album is one of the most remarkable albums from the 80´s "New Wave".It´s light-years more elaborated & innovative than the poppier New Wave releases of that time.It sounds like a New Wave-Prog,almost like the "Cardiacs" ,one of my preferred bands, wich with their unusual approach, openned doors to a sort of Prog-Punk.
Both bands sound totally different, but their approaches to get away from their "original roots" and improve it,are brilliant.
If it could be possible I think KTP;Cardiacs (at a much superior level)and "Punishment Of Luxury",also from England, created a completely different and progressive sound & vision, each in it´s segment. To be short,I´ll not talk about "Wire",that also moved from Punk to,whatever you will classify it at "154" and then moved to avant-garde.KTP also did much more records, mainly singles/EP´s and even more LP´s/CD´s,but nothing comes close as "Naked".
Quite interesting work from "Kissing The Pink" ,anyway.I strongly recomend it.
