Reviews & Discussion

Review by Tripoffsky Sep 02, 2004 (edited over 5 years ago)
They started back in the early 90s with mega-hit G-Stoned 4-track album. High Noon was their best back then. A fusion of funky downtempo trip-hop and kinda bossa beats. Since then they did lots of remixing and mixing. K+D selection release was a DJ compilation mix. Perfectly mixed subtle intelligent drum'n'base. The album included rare yet great sounding tracks.
Most consider them famous for the K+D Sessions - a double CD or 4 vinyl remix compilation. Roni Size, Count Basic, Rainer Truby Trio, Rockers Hi-Fi are among artists remixed. The compilation is a must for those looking for ways to see electronic music under different angle.
Vienna based Peter Kruder and Richard Dorfmeister cleverly combined mellow drum'n'base, deep bassline dub, trip-hop elements, latin sounds with sampling and smooth echoing synthsizer-generated sounds.
